UPowr to launch solar platform direct to households

After launching 12 months ago through select electricity retailers, the UPowr Platform is set to become available directly to households in the coming weeks.

Offering a completely digital, end to end installation experience – the UPowr Platform allows customers to request personalised quotes for solar and batteries, which are generated to suit both the customer’s physical house and the way they use electricity.

Customers can then see the recommended solar system designed on their roof, an overview of the products included, estimates on how much they’re likely to save and all the costs related to installing the system.

When customers are ready to proceed – they choose their preferred installation day and place the order. The UPowr Platform then organises the entire installation, keeping customers supported and updated throughout the process

Co-founder and CEO Stu Philpot said that the UPowr experience has been designed to mirror the sleek and modern expectations we have of the technology and apps we use on a daily basis.

“Solar and batteries are exciting technology that allow households to do great things both for the environment and their financial circumstances – yet to date, the experience has been largely traditional and offline. We’ve changed that and want to offer customers a new way to enjoy solar and batteries at their home.”

“We set out to change the experience in three key ways; we wanted to make better use of energy data so customers can make informed decisions. We wanted to streamline supply chains so customers have access to more competitively priced products, and we wanted to make the entire customer experience digital. We’ve done these things, and we’re excited to open up the Platform direct to households across Australia.”

The UPowr Platform will initially be available to households in metropolitan Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.

Interested households can join the waitlist to get exclusive access in the coming weeks.
